The subject of XII International Student Conference „Politics & Society in Central and Eastern Europe” was civic participation and political culture across CEE. The one-day conference was addressed to young and advanced scholars from the CEE, interested in current developments in Central and Eastern European politics and societies, giving them the opportunity to present their research results.
The programme consisted of plenary and panel sessions.
The keynote speakers were Irena Todorova, PhD and Assistant Professor at New Bulgarian University, who specializes in political culture, political participation, and democracy and Lubomír Kopeček, PhD, Associate Professor of Political Science and Vice-head of the International Institute of Political Science at the Faculty of Social Studies, Masaryk University, Brno, Czech Republic, who is concerned with comparative politics and Czech politics.
