Willy Brandt Center for German and European Studies, Academia Europaea Knowledge Hub, College of Eastern Europe and Institute of Political Science at University of Wrocław invited to a public lecture by Professor Jan Woleński on Racjonalizm europejski.
Jan Woleński is professor emeritus of the Jagiellonian University and professor at the University of Information Technology and Management in Rzeszów.
He is a member of Polish and international academic organizations: the Polish Philosophical Society, Polish Association for Logic and Philosophy of Science, Polish Academy of Sciences, Polish Academy of Arts and Sciences and Academia Europaea.
Professor Woleński has received numerous awards, including the Prime Minister’s Prize for academic achievement (1996), the Jagiellonian Laurels (2009). He has also received a Knight’s Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta (2011).
In 2013 Professor Jan Woleński received the Foundation for Polish Science Prize in the humanities and social sciences for a comprehensive analysis of the work of the Lvov-Warsaw school and for placing its achievements within the international discourse of contemporary philosophy.
