Towards the Development of Mediatization Research, a workshop delivered by Professor Göran Bolin

December 11, 2017, Wrocław (Poland)

On December 11, 2017, the Institute of Journalism and Social Communication, and the Academia Europaea Wrocław Knowledge Hub organised a specialist workshop entitled Towards the development of mediatization research delivered by Prof. Göran Bolin from Södertörn University. Professor Bolin is an author of numerous books and publications (Value and the Media: Cultural Production and Consumption in Digital Markets,  Media Generations: Experience, Identity, and Mediatised Social Change), a member of the Committee of Film, Media, and Visual Studies in Academia Europaea and Vice-President of Mediatization section in the Communication Research and Education Association.

The workshop attracted attendees from several European countries who exchanged ideas and thoughts concerning the topic of mediatization. The debate was unique as it took place in the atmospheric co-working space of Fabryka Sensu, which gave the meeting a homelike atmosphere. The meeting was an excellent opportunity to discuss the results of current research and resulted in ideas for new topics to focus on in the future.
