Title: “Co-Constructing Past and Future: Repositioning the Human Sciences as a Vector in Proposing Sustainable Practices and Future Simulations“
Abstract: This paper discusses the contemporary challenges in the humanistic understanding of the past and the future, considering the diversity of perspectives and worldviews. Using a transdisciplinary methodology, we will analyze examples of research projects carried out with local and indigenous Brazilian communities. Their focus is the intersection between scientific and traditional knowledge, seeking mediation that respects and enhances their contributions. The project “Cultural Landscapes Community AI Hub” will be analyzed as an innovation in this field, using AI agents specialized in knowledge curation to create collaborative systems that consider scientific expertise while incorporating meanings and knowledge from communities. Also based on AI, the project develops complex models of cultural landscapes through predictive scenarios of the past, present, and future. This perspective repositions Human Sciences as a vector in the proposal of sustainable practices and future simulations, acting in the planning of social development policies.
