Sławomir Czarnecki

Bio: Dr Sławomir Czarnecki has been closely connected to Wrocław throughout his life. Born and raised in the city, he also pursued his studies there. He currently works at Wrocław University of Science and Technology, where he continues to conduct his groundbreaking research, contributing to the city’s reputation as a centre for scientific innovation.
As an accomplished scientist and engineer, Dr Czarnecki specialises in non-destructive testing methods, artificial intelligence and cement composites. He considers his most significant scientific achievement to be the development of a model for identifying the bonding of concrete repair layers with substrate layers using non-destructive methods and artificial intelligence. Dr Czarnecki is actively involved in research projects funded by the National Science Centre and the National Centre for Research and Development. His current research focuses on using thermoplastic materials as binders in construction composites as an alternative to cement. Additionally, he is leading other projects aimed at making concrete more environmentally friendly.
